Breath of Hope Walk/Skate

The Breath of Hope walk/skate event will be taking place at the Jack Byrne arena on March 20th, 2010. Our vision for this day is to provide non-competitive fun-filled activities, such as: face painting, live entertainment, prize giveaways, and “The Best Lungs in St. John’s” challenge.

We are encouraging participants to enjoy the afternoon walk, evening skate, on-site yoga and stretching classes for beginners, healthy snacks and beverages, along with visiting information booths on lung health, lifestyle choices, active living for all ages, and healthy eating.

There will be a variety of incentives including wonderful prizes and exciting team prizes!!!

PERSONAL FUNDRAISING PAGES:
Participants are now able to create their OWN simple, easy to use, Personal Fundraising "GivingPage". This page will allow your friends and family to sponsor you money ONLINE towards the Breath of Hope, using a credit card OR interac! The donations will go directly into the Lung Association’s account, and will be added onto the Total Donations that you have raised for the Breath of Hope.

Not only is this much easier for sponsors to do, but it also prevents you from having to collect cash donations in person!

Once your Personal Fundraising GivingPage is set up (takes less than 5 minutes!), you can email the link to friends and family OR post it in your Facebook/Twitter! They simply need to click the link to go to YOUR page, and donate there.
